Yesterday was a perfect weather day to check hives and administer OA treatments! One thing that I forget every year is what a pain it is to run a generator to run my old OA applicator. More or less just posting so I can remember when…. Added feeders and about 1:1 w a pollen patty. Few of the ii queens were already at 5/6 frames of brood so I added a second deep! And just like they were off!!!

It’s that time of the year. Pre-splits but still too brood heavy. Best way to deal with this is to pull some brood from all the hives, especially the 8-frame single deeps.

Always my favorite thing to do, love to see how they turn out!

Needed some brood for some cells so went through an apiary to grab brood to make split.
