Performed a mite wash on our 2021 overwintered, untreated breeder queen to see how things were going before we start making queens. I hand counted the washed bee just to make sure I had an official score. 1 Mite in 563 bees or .18%! Off to the races!!!!

Lots of inspection videos coming this week, mostly quick looks at nucs and rearranging over wintered hives to get them compressed back down into deeps out of mediums.

High winds but 80 degree temperatures had the girls out hauling in pollen and nectar. Lots of good things going on. Girls were all fed up w/ some nosema treatment via their sugar syrup.

This video from April 16th should start w/ a hot package I installed…few laughs maybe some colorful language.

Spent April 9th filling feeders but more importantly going through all of the gear at my apiary and cleaning it up!

After a long winter April 3rd was the day to look at our New River Carnica VSH from Jason Bragg and New River Honey Bees. Inspection went well, she looked great, and there was a great start of bees that will have some awesome grafts in a few weeks. https://youtu.be/R2Vb1zTU7Tw
